For more than 20 years, parts of our collection have been produced by a subcontractor in Ukraine.
On February 24th, we asked ourselves how to proceed? How can we help? Where are the priorities now?
It was important for us to ask the people affected for their opinion, to know first-hand what is important for our colleagues in Ukraine.
The feedback was clear. The local team has proven themselves more than anything else continuity and stability desired.
An everyday life that, in addition to the news about war, includes a bit of familiar and social life.
For us, that meant going on and keeping the production running.
Since then, weekly deliveries have continued to come from the Ukraine and even if a seam is not quite perfect or a delivery date cannot be met, sometimes priorities shift out of solidarity.
All items produced in Ukraine since February 24 are marked with a sticker, digitally and partly on polybags.

RESPECTFULLY:ACTING AS A FAMILY AND A COMPANY
As a family, we live values such as respect and trust. These values apply equally to our entrepreneurial activities at Stehmann. We take responsibility for our employees, suppliers, producers, our customers and our environment.
LOCAL:STRENGTHEN THE REGION AND THE PEOPLE
We are deeply rooted in the region, which is why we like to strengthen local companies and work primarily with local partners.
We at Stehmann also have hardly any fluctuation. This kind of consistency is a precious commodity in fashion. The experience of our employees: inside and the mutual trust, we value very much and are the basis of our quality.
Our awareness of acting as sustainably as possible allows us to constantly rethink procedures and processes. Thanks to robust reusable collapsible boxes, we can do without unnecessary packaging material and boxes when delivering to our main producers, but also in our NOS warehouse in Fürth. With our own photovoltaic power system with an output of up to 55.92 kWp, we generate part of our electricity ourselves.
At Stehmann, sustainability means mindfulness. Our social and ecological responsibility as entrepreneurs in the textile industry is ours
consciously and goes hand in hand with our promise of long-lasting quality. For us, sustainability has many facets and has long been whole
naturally become an important part of our partnership-based actions.
FAIRNESS:PRODUCING IN EUROPE
While the cutting of the fabric parts as the first step in the production of trousers has always been carried out in Germany, we decided more than ten years ago to prioritize European production. Our trousers are now made in Slovakia, Ukraine and North Macedonia, 80% of which are already in amfori BSCI-certified companies.
We are also a member of amfori BSCI, an international program to improve social standards in a global value chain. We are convinced of short distances. This applies to our trousers, which come to us overland in a climate-friendly manner, but also to the long-term partnerships with our producers. The direct contact and our personal on-site visits are the basis for a trusting and long-term cooperation, for a respectful cooperation and: for the best quality..
Passion for pants
Stehmann trousers are thoughtfully designed and the perfect mix of traditional know-how and creative innovations – for our customers they are true favourite pieces. Continuity and reliability of the fit apply to "all-timefavorites" in proven cuts or trend-accurate fashion pieces - always matching the personal style world of our customer. We have translated this world into three strong collection lines that function as their own labels in everyday fashion.
A family business with values, personality and a clear attitude – to fashion and to life. Down-to-earth and authentic, Stehmann has been dedicated to women's trousers since 1971. When our story began, the women's trousers in their diversity was still a young fashionable theme, today it is an absolute essential, which is above all about one thing: an excellent fit. We at Steh-mann therefore dedicate ourselves to the perfect fit just as uncompromisingly as to our claim to traditional, first-class production and reliable, fine quality. We, Judith Stehmann and Frank Stehmann, now lead the company as siblings in the second generation. Together with 70 employees, our company has 50 years of fashion experience and unique expertise. New ideas and concepts emerge from our company. We achieve flexibility through the many in-house solutions. Here with us in Fürth, the first design idea is created, the cutting of the CAD as well as the first prototypes in our sample sewing shop and also the purchase and sales take place on site, as well as ultimately the goods deliveries in our sorting warehouse.
